RETRIX I

This device has become one of my favorite out of many retro emulators that I have. Not only is the device quality built, but also equipped with great software, it's amazing!

Pros:
- Powerful enough to run most PS1 and N64 games
- nice feeling with joysticks and buttons (I can see someone with larger hands struggle a little with the buttons being a little too small)
- expandable storage up to 512Gb
- nice package deal (charging cable, screen protector and portable case)
- good enough screen and size

I have several of these handheld consoles, and this one has become my top choice. The first thing I noticed is that the system already has ArcOS installed. This is my OS of choice, and with all previous purchases I have had to install it myself. The handheld has two joysticks, and 4 trigger buttons on the back. This gives you the ability to play Playstation and other systems with ease. Between the start and select buttons is the option button. You can use this in combination with other buttons to perform certain actions. I have mine set up with the L and R buttons to quick save and load. The controls are just right - and I'm very critical when it comes to switches and buttons. I have been playing some PS1 games and found the controls and performance to be perfect. You could probably even raise the resolution of these games to get a better-than-native appearance and I'm guessing the console could handle it just fine. I also tried Dreamcast titles, and the performance was better than expected. Overall I think this handheld is a great deal for the asking price. I have paid nearly double this price for much less performance and fewer features. Given what I've played so far, I think it'll be perfect for N64, PS1, GameCube and anything earlier. This one gets a 5/5 from me.

Awesome device! It is very fun. Good battery. Comfortable buttons. The analogs will take a bit to get used to but its not bad.

The box appeared to have been damaged during transport, I didn't want to take any risk so I had them send me a replacement. Just a bummer I had to wait for the replacement

Quite the selection of games! Interface takes a little practice and you definitely need to read the instruction manual, but it's great! Love the large, vibrant 1:1 display. Knocking off a star because the button quality isn't great, and the D-Pad is finicky. Other than that, it's a great system.

It has a Favorite section you can add your favorites too. It just has so many games, games I never heard of and all the popular ones. I keep it my car and tell the wife it's for the grandkids to keep them quite, but I like playing it too.. It's a lot of fun playing old retro games, maybe more then some of the new games.

This gaming thing is amazing, it has an insane variety of games from Sega Genesis to Nintendo 64 to PlayStation. Theres probably over 10,000 games on here and all of them work perfectly. The graphics are extremely good for a little screen like this and the sound is great as well. Its built pretty well for the price and has the normal buttons of a GameBoy as well as two toggles and four triggers on the back. Its extremely fun to play and the battery lasts for hours. You can back up your games with SD cards and theres slots to add controllers I think too. This is a great deal for the price and the perfect present for anyone of any age. It has Donkey Kong, Crash, Mortal Kombat, Pokmon, every Mario, every Pac-Man, Ninja Turtles, Paperboy, NBA, Madden, and thousands and thousands of more games. I highly recommend this device.

This definitely brings you back to your childhood if you are an adult. It's fun to have, easy to play with and there are so many games on it's fun to experience what we all used to play. The console is light weight, has its own case and charging cord and such with a little protector for the screen.
